These drawings are from sketchbooks filled during travels abroad and in the US. They are visual notes, or snapshots, drawn quickly & continuously during long walks through new places. My aim while travelling was to walk and see as much as possible, and to turn every corner. The sketches are therefore minimal, a few shapes, lines, and shadows. Hopefully, something recognizable emerges, and the sketch becomes a memory cue. The mediums used are soft graphite, conte, charcoal, pastel, & watercolor. The sketches here are from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, London, & NYC.
